Ice Break Art Portfolio - Recreating Picture by a Famous Painting
In the first class after break, the art portfolio class gave us an activity: recreating a popular painting into a photograph. We did the activity in pairs. My friend and I chose a painting called 'Boy with a Basket of Fruits, ' and I was a model for the photo. We used the property that the class had been provided.
This is the step. Firstly, my friend and I picked a basket with fruit decoration, and we decorated the basket using the leaves that the class provided.
This is the comparison ~
Reflection
If I have another opportunity I, I will make the lighting more similar to the painting, which is behind the person so the person's light stands. However, the pose, facial expression, background, and properties are similar to the painting, so it works well in this activity. Moreover, the challenge that my friend and I were faced was hardly to find the correct lighting, so we tried a different angle to get lighting that similar to the painting, but it was not turned like it should be; in the picture, the lighting is softer rather than the painting, which the painting has a stronger light behind the person and makes the facial expression more attract attention.
The outcome is well composed and lit. You could try reversing the image to have it facing the same way? Add more evaluation, what do you think has worked well? What would you change?
