Development Ideas ~ Tartan Plaid Patterns - Art Portfolio 2

    In this post, I want to share my exploration about tartan plaid pattern for school uniform. I used tartan generator that I found on internet. The name of the website is 'Tartan Designer - Clan'. This website help me to find the perfect tartan colour combination. 

    Firstly, I created the tartan plaid pattern. I used American robin as my colour palette. The colour palette hex of this tartan plaid is #D57B52; #F5BB54; #FFFFFF; #900000. This colour palette is muted and also similar to the city logo, which was made by the graphic designer.

 

    This is the other colour palette for the tartan plaid pattern. It still used the American robin as my colour palette inspiration. The colour palette hex of this tartan plaid, #F5BB54; #FFFFFF; #900000; #7D697A; #352328. In this pattern, the dark red has a bigger line rather than the other colours because I want to emphasise the meaning of the dark red colour itself, which is vigour and courage; I want the school uniform to show the school's purpose, which is the school educates the student to have audacity and power.

   Overall, these are the tartan plaid patterns I created, but I might explore more colours inspired by the other Connecticut emblems so I can choose which one is suitable for the school uniform design that I am going make.
