Rendering Design to Photoshop and Canva

In this post, I am going to tell the process of me rendering my design to Photoshop then Canva. I drew the design on Procreate. Moreover, I created four designs of evening dress, but all the process is the same, so I decided to make one of the designs as my example how I did it.

Firstly, I clicke 'Create New' to make a new page. Then, I chose 'Print' to choose the paper size, I chose A4 for my paper size and the orientation is portrait. The background colour is white. And, I clicked 'Create'

After that, I put the image of my design to Photoshop and I adjusted the size of the picture. After I satisfied with the adjustment, I clicked space bar on my keyboard.

Then, I created the colour palette. I used the 'Rectangle Tool' to make the rectangle colour palette. After, I found the colour that match with the design I gave the colour code used the 'Text Tool'.

I added the picture of the potential fabrics that will be used for the dress. I created the circle shape using 'Ellipse Tool'. To add the image, I added the image on the Photoshop and placed at the top of the circle shape. On the layer, right-click and I chose the 'Create Clipping Mask' to make the picture of the fabric and the circle as one piece. And, I finished with the Photoshop, I exported as JPG file.

I uploaded the JPG file to Canva. I added text for the title of the design and name of the fabrics with the 'Text Tool' on Canva. And, I added outline for the colour palette to look better.

This is the step how I rendered the design through two software to create my portfolio project. I used two software because with Canva it was easier to make it to PDF file and upload for the flipbook, rather than using Photoshop that only can save one page and save as JPG, PNG, or others.
