Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel or we known as Coco Chanel was born on 19th of August 1883 in Saumur, France. She was born to unmarried parents and amidst poverty. After her mother passed away, her father moved her to an orphanage. Besides, she taught how to sew by the nun who raised her. She used the sew skill to establish herself as fashion icon. She opened her first boutique in Deauville, 1913. Moreover, the clothes that she made was attract the attention of women and the boutique she owned was a huge success.
The Little Black dress first appeared in the late 1920s and famous in the 1930s. This dress is a timeless item for women apparel because "It's a dress that lets you play with how you accessorize it, be it with pearls, diamonds, a pendant, bright colors" (MakersValley, n. d). Before 1920s, people believed that wearing black dress was only for grief, but Coco Chanel changed people's view when she presented a short, basic black dress as Vogue Magazine's cover in 1926. The LBD became one of the most notable clothing items.
The tweed suits by Coco Chanel was a fusion of traditional ideas of masculinity and femininity. She was inspired of sportswear and menswear that worn by her earlier boyfriend, Duke of Westminster. Chanel believed that "she believed menswear to be more comfortable than pre-war women’s fashion of the time" (CR Fashion Book, 2023). This tweed suits was first presented in her salon on Rue de Cambon in Paris, 1925.

The Breton Stripes top origins back to Britanny, French. The stripes top was using by the French Navy as uniform in 1858. However, Coco Chanel in the 1910s she set out to liberate the female form of formal styles. That time, the fashion revolutionary mentioned ""Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury."" (Gul, 2023). Moreover, the upper classes agreed with the statement, especially to them who liked taking more holidays on Coast of Azure. The Breton shirt made because it was the ideal casual look for revelling under the sun.
