Model Making Plastic Workshop

  In the model-making plastic workshop, the technician was prohibited from using cell phones, so I do not have any pictures to show the evidence. Besides, the technician taught me how to use the machines there, including how to make a resin, what plastic can be useful for fashion students, what machines fashion students often use, and more cutting machines. The cutting machines in the workshop that I can remember are only the hot wires, but I hardly remember the names of the other machines. I got a chance to experience those machines. 

  The technician taught me to make the mockup before the design in the workshop. For the mockup, I can use grey styrofoam and cut using hot wires. If already satisfied with the mockup design, I can continue to make with the actual materials. However, I learned to make the mockup in the workshop using hot wires and grey styrofoam. I created a chair. For me, experience using the hot wires and other machines is great. Even though this was my first experience using those machines, this is something worth trying.

  As a fashion student, this workshop can be helpful for me if I want to make something based on resin as a decoration.

    For instance, if I want to realise this design, I need resin to create the butterfly decoration and I will come to the model making plastic workshop to make the butterfly.
